I love underground and alternative music. Ever since I first listened to 'Nevermind' by Nirvana I knew I wasn't mainstream. I knew I had to go live in a cool little place called 'the undeground scene'. You probably nod your head when I say I wasn't going to be one of these idiotic pop fans, I realised I really hate them and they are everything that is wrong in the world, fair enough right? However there seems to be a strange attitude by some people in the scene. People say hateful things, make politically incorrect jokes and think its no big deal, use offensive imagery to try and get some reaction. Let me tell you something that is not what the scene is about, these jerks have it all wrong.

Why is it uncool to want peace and love? Peace means that there is no war!! Whats not cool about that? Love means the opposite of hate for all peoples and sexuality!! That's not super fucking cool?

There is a type of music not many people will understand, you really have to do it for the love and the passion for underground sounds its called NOISE music, thats right NOISE music. And it is cool because it is underground and it's being written about right now because it is alternative and underground and that's what this blog is all about.

In the words of Zack De La Rocha (Rage Against the Machine) ' I stand on a silent platform fight the war fuck the norm' and no one does it better than 'STFD'. This isn't transgressive like Marilyn Manson is transgressive as in it could really change shit!!!!!

These guys don't pay any attention to musical norms they do there own thing. When I saw them live they start by playing quiet noises then get louder and louder. Then they get everyone involved! Basically the whole audience was playing drums, cymbals, and other things, to this crazy noise they were all making. Oh and did I mention they have TWO drummers, and even more because people get to have a shot as well! Its this spirit of inclusiveness that make them completely outstanding, it was like being transported back to Woodstock and people banging away on bongos with children adults and people of all ages sexes and ethnicity's coming together!

And special mention kudos goes to the singer/instigator who between downing whole cans of beer and spitting it in the air Stone Cold Steve Austin style was running around making sure EVERYBODY had a shot at drumming and joined in the good vibez. Also its great that in this day of supermodels and teenage girls starving themselves due to MAINSTREAM culture this guy didn't give a shit about getting his shirt off and showing the world that 'Im fat, SO WHAT! IM A HUMAN BEING!' Also they have a great name that is a cool original twist on an original hippy style bands name. Check these guys out before them become really big!!
